Step One: Take a Peek at Our Availability and Pricing Guidelines

You won't find armies of anonymous bakers in our kitchen. Every wedding cake is lovingly made by Libby, which means her availability is limited - particularly during busy seasons. At least one month of lead time is ideal, but if scheduling allows we can create the cake of your dreams with as little as seven days notice.

Prices depend on the number of guests and the final design. Premium elements such as fondant, metallics, and sugar flowers cost more than more simple designs. In general, our tiered wedding cakes start at $5.50 per guest and our additional sheet cakes start at $2.50 per person.

Step Two: Arrange a Cake Tasting

We love to talk cake almost as much as we love to eat it. When you book a tasting, I'll ask a few questions about your favorite flavors and wedding details. We'll then meet for 45 to 60 minutes at one of our cake-tasting rooms in Roscoe Village or Lincoln Park. You can sample three or four cake flavors, while we chat through the details of your wedding and what you want in a cake. I will not let you make a booking at the consultation - this is a no-pressure chance to experience our cake and talk through designs without worrying about a sales pitch.

Step Three: Design and Flavors

After the cake tasting, I'll send you a proposal. If we talked through multiple options (Maybe cake pops and cake shots instead of a tiered cake? Maybe multi-tier cake that tells our story? Maybe a rainbow-hued cake to show off our pride?), I'll detail pricing and design elements for each. If your color scheme changes or the guest list explodes, that's no problem. You can tweak everything from the cake color to the flavors to the exact number of servings up to three weeks before your wedding.

Step Four: Secure your Date

Once you're ready to commit (to our cake!), we ask for a 50 percent deposit to secure your date. The deposit is partially refundable if your plans change six weeks or more from the date of the wedding. Within six weeks of the date, the deposit is nonrefundable

Step Five: Cake Creation and Delivery

About two weeks before your big day, we'll check in to confirm your final guest count and delivery details.
